A website is operating and falsely claiming to be for Aileen Tallentire Solicitors.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that a website at 'www.aileentesq.com' is operating and falsely claiming to be for 'Aileen Tallentire Solicitors'.

Correspondence has also been sent to a member of the public in relation to supposed unclaimed inheritance.

The website and correspondence provides a postal address of 22 Denmark Centre, Fowler Street, South Shields NE33 2LR and 122 Denmark Centre, Fowler Street, South Shields NE33 2LR.

The telephone number provided on the website is '+44 1915 740157', and the email address is 'info:aileentesq.com'. The correspondence was purportedly sent from 'Patrica Molina, Legal Practitioner' and 'Patricia Molina, Head of Legal Department'. It also provides an email of pm@aileentesq.com, a telephone number of +44 745 229 8996 and fax number of + 44 1915 740157

The website lists individuals called Patricia Molina, Jayden McNicoll and Christine Dransfield.

The SRA does not authorise or regulate individuals called Patricia Molina, Jayden McNicoll and Christine Dransfield.

Any business or transactions through the website, individuals or contact details set out above are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA previously authorised and regulated a genuine firm of solicitors called 'Aileen Tallintire Solicitors' which closed in July 2021.  

Aileen Tallintire is authorised and regulated by the SRA and is not currently practising as a solicitor. Aileen Tallintire is not thought to have any connection to the website referred to above.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
