We organise and take part in a wide range of events and conferences. Come and meet us to find out about what we're doing.

If you would like to invite an SRA speaker to your event, please submit a request using our speaker request form.
Please do not contact individual members of our staff directly to ask them to speak at your event.
In order for us to consider your request, you need to submit it at least six to eight weeks before your event is scheduled to take place.
We take the following into account when reviewing speaker requests:
- how topical the event is to SRA work and priorities
- availability of appropriate speakers
- size and suitability of the audience.
We will assess all requests on a case-by-case basis. However, we are unlikely to accept invitations if we believe that one of the main purposes of the event is:
- to promote the wider work or services of a specific commercial organisation or potential supplier to businesses operating in the legal sector
- to generate new business or other revenue-creating opportunities beyond attendance at the event itself for the host/organiser/third parties.

Professional ethics focus groups | 2 June - 23 June 2026
2 June 2026| Online or in-personProfessional ethics sit at the heart of public trust in legal services. While most solicitors strive to act with integrity, modern legal practice can present challenges, including commercial pressures, workplace culture, emerging technologies and increasingly complex roles. We want to better understand the experiences of solicitors in meeting their ethical duties.
Our listening exercise will involve a series of facilitated focus groups. Each one will bring together participants in comparable roles or circumstances to support open and meaningful discussions. This is about learning from the profession. We want to hear your insights on:
- How are professional ethical duties understood and applied day to day?
- What challenges and risks do regulated individuals encounter when making ethical decisions?
- What can cause, or drive, unethical decision-making or behaviour?
- How is the existing SRA guidance, our standards, and support – for instance our Professional Ethics helpline – used in practice? How can we improve what we offer?

Compliance Officers Conference
27 April 2027| International Convention Centre (ICC), 8 Centenary Square, Birmingham B1 2EAFollowing the move from autumn to spring, the next Compliance Officers Conference will be held on Tuesday 27 April 2027.
The Virtual Conference will then take place from 10–14 May 2027.
Bookings for these events will open in December.
