Ties Solicitors has been granted permission to employ Emenike Mgbemena’s as a solicitor, based on the job description and supervision arrangements outlined in the Firm’s application dated 9
October 2025 and 11 November 2025. This is subject to the following conditions:
- Mr Mgbemena will be employed as a solicitor. His role will be strictly limited to assisting in client matters under direct supervision, ensuring that all work is reviewed and approved by his supervisor. He will not have authority to act independently on any matter nor provide unsupervised client advice.
- Mr Mgbemena will be supervised by Olubunmi Omotoso (SRA number 300468), the owner and manager of Ties Solicitors. In Olubunmi Omotoso’s absence, supervision will be conducted by Margaret Olojo (SRA number 387359)
- Mr Mgbemena must not provide any reserved legal activity unsupervised, nor provide any independent legal advice, make decisions on any client matters, and submit documents to any court, tribunal, or third party, without explicit approval from his supervisor.
- Mr Mgbemena will have no responsibility for receiving or holding any client money. He must not be involved in any financial transactions, billing, or fee arrangements with clients, eliminating any risk of financial misconduct.
- The SRA is immediately informed of any proposed variation in Mr Mgbemena’s duties or his supervision arrangements. Any variation must not take place until permission is granted by the SRA.
- This approval will lapse in the event of Mr Mgbemena leaving the firm, with any intended return to the firm requiring a new application.

The above conditions are necessary in the public interest. They are reasonable and proportionate having regard to the purposes set out in regulation 7 of the SRA Authorisation of Individuals Regulations, and the regulatory objectives and principles governing regulatory activities as contained in section 28 of the Legal Services Act 2007.
